We are excited to announce the addition of two distinguished legal professionals, Annette Herrera and Daniel Leiva, as partners at Torres Legal. These additions represent a significant milestone in strengthening services in the areas of banking, finance, and new technologies.

Annette Herrera brings over 9 years of experience in the banking and finance sectors. Her outstanding performance as an in-house attorney at the largest commercial bank in El Salvador, where she was involved in complex financial transactions and provided counsel on risk and securities market matters, positions her as an expert and a leader in her field. Her extensive experience includes corporate governance, the establishment and counsel of guarantee trusts, securitizations, investment funds, local and international credits, among others.

Annette holds a Master of Laws from Cornell University in the United States, a Master’s in Banking and Financial Markets from Carlos III University in Spain, and an honors Bachelor of Legal Sciences from the Higher School of Economics and Business (ESEN) in El Salvador. She is also authorized as an attorney and notary by the Republic of El Salvador and admitted to practice law in the State of New York, United States.

Torres Legal also welcomes attorney Daniel Leiva, who has over 8 years of solid experience in the banking and finance sectors and joins the firm with a focus on Fintech, Banking Law, and Insurance Law. His previous work as an in-house attorney at the largest commercial bank in El Salvador provided him with valuable insights into digital transformation and processes related to financial services and products.

In addition to his notable work in the banking sector, Daniel has provided counsel on significant financial transactions, working with startups, Fintech companies, and project financing.

Daniel’s credentials speak for themselves. He is an attorney and notary authorized by the Republic of El Salvador. He also holds a Master’s in Digital Advocacy and New Technologies from the University of Salamanca in Spain and obtained his Bachelor of Legal Sciences with honors (summa cum laude) from Dr. José Matías Delgado University in El Salvador.

Daniel Leiva is excited to join Torres Legal and shared his expectations for this new stage: “I am thrilled to be part of such an exceptional team.
