Oscar Giralt, partner of Torres Legal, was awarded as Lawyer of the Year at the DyN 2022 Awards organized by the magazine Derecho y Negocios. This category recognizes the professional who has managed to stand out personally and professionally, in such a way that he/she is a reference in his/her area of law and an example for the new generations of lawyers.

Our managing partner, Héctor Torres, expresses that it is a pride and a privilege to share with a person like Giralt, since his work stands out for the passion and dedication he puts into each case and each project.

Oscar Giralt, partner of the firm, considers that the award is a recognition of the work that Torres Legal has been doing as a whole, and in a special way to the Public Administration department.

“When you are concentrated and focused on your work, you don’t realize what is going on around you. This is the result of the good work that is being done, of the growth that the Public Administration area has experienced within the firm. The relevance of our clients and the amount of cases we have under our responsibility were undoubtedly what influenced the jury to consider us for this recognition,” he said.

When asked if the award represents a change in the dynamics of the firm, Oscar, true to his style, answered that being chosen as the Lawyer of the Year 2022 “is an extra motivation, but at the same time represents a greater commitment, to continue working with the standards of quality and excellence that all the people, institutions and companies that trust in our services deserve. The most important award is to know that you are doing your job well and that the people who trust in the firm are satisfied. The awards are the consequence of your work,” he said.

Giralt also believes that the award is not only due to his individual work, but is the result of an accumulation of experiences and support from all those people, colleagues and mentors who have come into his life and left their mark on his personal and professional trajectory.

“I have to thank many people, my family, colleagues from all the jobs where I developed, my teachers and mentors, from absolutely everyone I have learned something. All the experiences have helped me build myself and will continue to help me improve in what follows. Special thanks to Héctor and Marta for motivating me and making me grow personally and professionally, to Marcela for keeping order in the department, and finally, to the entire Torres Legal team, because as Don Alfredo Di Stéfano used to say: No player is as good as all of them together”, confesses Giralt.
