International Women's Day

March 08, 2023

Every March 8th, we commemorate International Women’s Day in honor of women’s struggle for their rights, including participation in society, non-discrimination in the workplace, and equality of conditions.

At Torres Legal, we proudly celebrate this date alongside our legal, administrative, and operational team. We encourage the participation of women in the various services offered by the firm, both in internal and external events, and in the professional development of each of our members. Additionally, we promote awareness of gender equity issues.

“Our International Days provide us with an opportunity to raise awareness among our clients and members of the firm on topics of great interest, such as human rights, access to technology, and gender equality,” says our partner, Raquel Santos.

For our partner, this date is an opportunity to highlight the women in the firm who hold positions of high significance in serving the clients who have sought our services, as well as for their personal and professional achievements to date.

“At Torres Legal, we have a great team of professional women who demonstrate their commitment and determination to excel every day. We acknowledge their strength, perseverance, and wisdom that define them,” says Santos.

Our associate lawyer, Rebeca Galdámez, states that the struggle for gender equality has been present at different moments in history and has inspired individuals from all fields, disciplines, and especially in the legal profession.

“The participation of women in the field of law has evolved from being an aspiration to becoming a reality. International Women’s Day is further evidence of the universality of this cause and our contribution to building a more equitable society,” our lawyer confesses.

Galdámez highlights the work of our partner, Raquel Santos; our associates Fátima Rivera, Daniela Deras, Adalicia Torres; our lawyers Fátima Espinal, Evelyn Molina, Paola Ávila, Chrystal Reyes, Daniela Bonilla; and our administrative team consisting of Isabel Bado, Ana Andrade, Vanessa Membreño, Dalia Arévalo, Karina Blanco, and Gloria Lemus.

“Without them, Torres Legal would not have experienced this tremendous growth and would not have alongside them individuals with great experience and training in their respective roles,” she concludes.

Torres Legal once again extends a special greeting to all the women of El Salvador and of our firm.
