Our firm was one of the winners at the annual edition of the DyN 2022 Awards of the Salvadoran magazine Derecho y Negocios, an event that brings together the most important firms, lawyers, companies and entrepreneurs of El Salvador.

Members of the firm took the stage on three different occasions during the gala to collect their awards. Torres Legal won awards in the categories: “Technology Law Firm”, “Litigation and Arbitration Firm”; and one of our partners, Oscar Giralt, won the award for “Best Lawyer of the Year”.

The “Technology Law Firm” is an award that recognizes the firm that focused its efforts in facing, from a legal perspective, the new transformations and challenges that the advance of technology entails.

Our managing partner, Héctor Torres, and our senior associate, Alejandro Muñoz, received the award in front of the audience, guests and media present.

“Technology and law go hand in hand. We are going to another era and we believe we can change the way lawyers are seen, the way lawyers work with business,” said Héctor Torres after receiving the award.

This award is in line with one of the fundamental bets of the firm, which has driven attention to the relationship between law and new technologies, to help clients whose investments are based on the digital world. A recognition that confirms the rapid evolution of the firm in these times.

Torres Legal was also honored in the category “Firm in Litigation and Arbitration”. On this occasion, our managing partner, Héctor Torres; our founding partner, Héctor Reyes; our partner, Luis Domínguez; and our associate, Rubén Rivas, were the recipients of the award.

During the evening, our partner, Oscar Giralt, received the award for “Best Lawyer of the Year”, one of the most coveted categories of the gala. In his thank you speech, Giralt stated that the award is a joint effort of the legal team and the support of his family.

“This recognition must be broken into several pieces, because there is no better player as all together. This is a collective award for the support of Torres Legal and with a family that we have been working together,” he assured.
